Michigan Jim is gonna fill you in on his Willys Gasser and some Michigan hot rod and drag racing history. For those who think they missed out on the Woodward Dream Cruise, you still have the rest of August and September to check out the ride hang-outs. One of the largest car gatherings is at the Sears & Big Boy's parking lot at Southfield and Fort in Lincoln Park, Michigan. Every Friday you can catch at least 100 tricked-out rides & classics chillin' with the feelin' from late afternoon thru sundown. Yep, if the dream cruise was a bit overwhelming and commercialized for you, get on down to Lincoln Park and feel like family on Friday night with some of the midwest's hottest rides and their creators.

  • This is real racing, wish i still had my Shoebox 56 Biscaynne

  • My Dream Ride: A 41 Willys Gasser. I saw a movie called "Hot Rod" (I think) in the seventies where a couple of guys in a in a Hurst Olds took on a Willys Gasser at the end of the movie. That flick seared a straight axle Willys into my mind as the Baddest Car Ever. My opinion hasn't changed to this day! Wish I could find it on DVD...
