I told you guys this was going to happen no matter what and here it is. YouTube is officially switching over ALL its Partner and non partner channels to the new 2.0 Beta format on September 30th for the non partners and October 14th for the partnered accounts.

Looks like what they did last week was just a trick to butter up up for this surprise announcement.

The new channels are not confusing, it's just new.

Once you get use to it......it is fine..

What if there was no Youtube ? What would everyone complain about..... or.....Where would you show your videos, where would you watch videos for free ??? I think people should be a little more Grateful....if you do not like it, then don't use it..Make your own internet access to share your videos, and watch for free...Youtube does a lot for us, to have this available for free.

I hear you and I have been content with my Beta channel and have had it set up like this since July. None of what you said however excuses the fact that this was FORCED upon us.

The lack of choice for older channels is the big issue. Make the new channels beta and let the older channels that got used to how their channels look keep beta. That's a win-win situation for both sides.
