Eventually it took 50 or 60 million lives and the power of the Soviet Union, the British Empire and the United States to prove what the Spanish republic and the International Brigade were crying out to an indifferent world. Fascism is evil! And I hope that overblown, vacillating, cowardly, Hitlerian puppet, Franco is burning in the hell he used as a political device.

im in college and im sure the vast vast majority of my contemporaries have no idea of the brigade or the spanish civil war in general. i ask, no, i plead for more videos like this and more public recognition of the sacrifices they have made for us.
and btw the spanish civil war wasnt just communist vs fascist
