3) Miraculous Comeback to Concert stage by Smt Radha Viswanathan, daughter , disciple and vocal accompanist of MS for 50 years, after a long period of debilitating illness.

4) S.Aishwarya, (aged 13 years and studying in eighth Std ),Great Grand Daughter of Smt M.S.Subbulakshmi , accompanies her Grandmother.

Aishwarya has been learning Carnatic Music from her 4th year with her Grandmother. From her 5th to 7th year she was also trained by Sharanya Krishnan , disciple of Smt Suguna Purushottaman . She is currently under the tutelage & guidance of Karnataka Kalashree, Vidushi Jambu Kannan, since 2002.

Aishwarya has also been learning the Veena since 2005 from Vidwan A Shankar Raman , disciple of Late Rajeshwari Padmanabhan (of the illustrious Karaikudi Baani)

A beautiful coincidence is that in the original, MS pAtti was singing in the middle octave and Radha ammA was singing in the higher octave. After all these decades, the roles have sort of reversed ! Aishwarya is singing in the middle octave and Radha ammA is singing in the manthara sthAyi :-)

The last charanam was exceedingly enjoyable and immaculately rendered. Aishwarya's control in second speed was amazing with all swaras and gamakas falling in place. She is lucky to have accompanied her Grandmother Smt Radha at such a young age, what with giants like T K Murthy and Sriramkumar rendering support apart from the budding Kanjira player - Anirudh Athreya.

Murthy Mama is exceptional on Mridangam and has played exactly as he did in the recording. R.K.Shriramkumars playing is utterly inspiring and he has followed Mami like a shadow.

My thoughts went back to the fantastic & immortal Viriboni Varnam commercial recording sung by MS Amma and Radha Mami in the 1970s.

After seeing this clip no one can say that Mami had been seriously unwell for the past 2 decades. or more ! I salute her great courage and will power.

( With tears in my eyes ) .. There were times when amma sang Viriboni in the Academy accompanied by mami & Murthy mama which we could have never even dreamt of watching in live !! But after watching this i feel i havent missed it out .. Im sure even MS amma wud be moved to tears if she watched this video ! thanks for uploading ...
