that bus load of cops? totally needed to push a veteran (happy veteran's weekend ;D ) and some other protesters around. Oh, and they also needed to drown out the chanting with their sirens. and then run motorcycles through the crowd.

i can say i have a healthy distrust for cops... you people work against your best interests... you're puppets for the elite... do you realize this?

Ah you all just miss the point. WE put ourselves in the position where we make them act nuts and then wonder why they do. Sorry, but I have lived through the protests in the 60's and compared with them this is a game. We will not generate any flipping change to the system with a us versus them attitude. If we police ourselves they will stay away. We allow things to get dirty, unsafe, or violent and they will be told what to do.

@putitupmike1 i didn't say anything about conflict being inevitable. i agree with you. we are on the police's side. what I think is that the cops are acting against their own best interests. you could draw a conclusion that cops are "just doin' their job" because of "duty." i'm sure not all cops are bad, but there are bad cops out there that want to hurt people... and even if the good ones are "taking orders," does that make it right that they break people's heads open?

The cops looked ridiculous trying to funnel the march to the sidewalk. It was an embarrassing day to be an SFPD cop. Even the tourists are laughing at the futility of their tactics. Now they say a cop got cut by a woman. How could you get away from them there if it really happened? What are those lies for? And this is SFPD?

@playamoth the "cutting" is just lies. if someone took out a knife and used in on a cop in this situation, that person, and all the surrounding people, would have been stomped into jelly. whateves.

This s the time to remind the cops that they are being laid off, having their benefits cut, have to pay more into retirement, and that their 401'a are now trash.

The marchers are actually on the same side as the cops, it's just that neither side understands this.

At 1:23 it appeared the cop was about to shove the cameraman, but then thought better of it.

Well at least the cops weren't shooting protesters w/ rubber bullets or beating them w/ batons, but I've been in tons of marches and the cops here are definitely trying to provoke shit and make things chaotic by driving through the marchers w/ motorcycles and shoving people. Protect and serve my ass.
