Gold Dot is all you need thats why NYPD used it after doing much testing in 1993.

Ranger series and the winchester bonded white box bullets are both the sxt bullet and they can be had in bonded or standard. Only difference is brass vs nickel casings and cost (huge difference like $15 or more per 50). Maybe powder charge too haven't checked that.

I used the federal personal defense, when I was attached to the department of State. Great round! I rotated mags for years with zero reliability issues.
Say what you want about FBI testing, it's the only thing I will carry.

Look up Speer Gold Dot ballistics test on here and youll see many good tests showing they are still one of if not the the best self defence loads to date, in .40 cal my second choice would be PDX1
I have seen quite a few that show ranger t fragmenting
