My mom has been a heroin addict for quite a long time. Dreamseller has helped me deal with her addiction in so many ways. Even if Novak never gets clean (which of course I hope he does!), he can have the satisfaction of knowing he helped people get through some really tough times by writing his book. It takes balls to admit all of your flaws and turn it into a book. Thanks Joe Frantz and Brandon Novak!

As a recovering Heroin addict myself, I must say there is NO WAY you can stay off it and continue drinking. Also, u CANNOT say you have kicked drugs while in jail; your just in a holding pattern. You never get well from being an addict, but if you surrender to sobriety you will get better. I live every day with my addiction, and every day I decide to keep fighting. Life can be worth living, but it takes time 4 your brain and heart to heal.

I really really hope Brandon doesn't go back to his 'old ways'. I know what its like to lose someone from Heroin & believe me its not something you want to see, 7 years ago i watched my brother lay motionless on life support for 10 days before my mother had to turn of the life support, 7 years on & i can't get that picture out of my head, thankfully my other brother gave up drugs shortly after.
