this song is about substance abuse. count bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums is about conspiracy. even the beat and overall feel of the other song gives the lyrics a more militaristic feel. this song is on the 13th step album, an album dedicated to substance abuse, while the other was on emotive, an album solely about government conspiracy and anti war messages.

Just wondering if Maynard told you that himself? If not, why don't you leave it open to interpretation. It is ART and art is left to be interpreted by the viewer or in this case, the listener. Lyrics such as "swinging to the rhythm of a new world order" and "counting bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums" could certainly be viewed as pertaining to war or government.

Even the arrangements of the individual songs are part of the conceptual nature of this work.
