I was a bloody battle. The French threw the GI's under the bus so fast it made out heads spin. But for "Fear of offending our French Friends" they BS'd the opening fire scene and made it appear like it was an "Accident". My Father a Combat Vet that fough all the way across France and int Germany, said the French treated the GI's worse than the Germans when they crossed the Rhine.

This battle was real bloody. Patton was in command of this. He broke up his force one the south the other to the north. The other about 6 miles north of Casablanca. They finally ended up fighting against the frickin french until a castle that the frogs took up positions. No this movie is untrue about a lot of things this being one.
