Barbara Corsen plugs the upcoming Mets/Pirates double-header, followed by an ID and the opening to Ch. 9's late 70s/early 80s discussion show, Straight Talk.
@panasonic1978 - It was Avant Garde Medium. Ms. Haynes' and Ms. McPhillips' names were set in Standard Medium (a.k.a. Akzidenz-Grotesk a.k.a. AG Old Face Bold).
Also, "Straight Talk" had been on-air since 1971. The first hosts were Carol Jenkins (later of WNBC-TV and WNYW) and Elinor Guggenheimer; Phyllis Haynes replaced Ms. Jenkins when the latter left for Channel 4 in 1972, and Mary Helen McPhillips took over co-hosting duties around the time Ms. Guggenheimer became New York City Consumer Affairs Commissioner in 1974. (By the early 1980's, Ms. Haynes herself was replaced by Denise Richardson.)

Weird question, but does anyone know the font of the Straight Talk title shot?

I'd love to see a '60's Mets ad,complete with the anthem "Meet The Mets"..I'd had a 45 of that!

@richmjr67 - Given that announcer Barbara Korsen's status at WOR was vacation relief, evidently this meant Russ Dunbar was on vacation that day . . .

It seems, based on the daypart from which this aired, Ms. Korsen was filling in on this day for usual morning-shift announcer Russ Dunbar.
