A Late review I thought I should post, showing my opinion of James Cameron's first film in 12 years, "Avatar", starring Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver. Be sure to expect a late Sherlock Holmes review as well.

  • @ChaoticDarkShadow

You don't know what Dune is? modern audiences and readers aren't aware of what a masterpiece of a Sci-fi novel is, read it. Avoid the clunker movie attempt from David Lynch and go for the 2000 mini-series and Children of Dune. Now that is what Avatar is like, Frank Herbert's novel.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Now I don't this film I just hate the fans that are devorteds and zelots to this film if you say one BAD thing about this film you will have a shitload of people yelling at you

  • @ChaoticDarkShadow

I thought this was a great movie, you want a bad Sci-fi epic you should watch Dune (1984) which is a giant expensive mess of a movie from David Lynch.

  • @ChaoticDarkShadow

Don't pass off your opinion as reality.

  • @TheCinemaTologist Yay don't get me wrong the effects where AMAZING but i could not find any likebly chacters like John Conner he was a VERY likeble chacter just a 13 year old living a reguler old day life until one day his life is changed and when that Star Trek girl crying i remaber the whole thetaer erupt with luaging no one took that seroulsy a blue chick crying

  • @ChaoticDarkShadow yeah i agree, my opinon has somewhat changed since the release. When I left the theater when I saw this, I had no lasting impression, no excitement leaving the theater, and no memory of any key moments.

    FINAL REVIEW:

Effects: 4.5/5 (Yeah, not giving it a 5)

    Rest of movie 2.5/5

So Avatar is definitely watchable, and not a bad movie by my standards, but nowhere near as good as it was supposed to be/ very underwhelming.

  • @LukeLovesRose No it was like the Star wars prequels no story no likeble chacters but just a shitload CGI bullshit

  • Um, Cameron made 3 of the BEST Schwarzenegger films ever. Hell, Cameron made Arnold's career with The Terminator. Why is it such a surprise that Stephen Lang's lines reminded you of a Schwarzenegger film?

Anyway, I personally think Avatar is the greatest movie of 2009 and the decade.

  • I also, liked your review but, what are your top ten movies of all time?

Also, this is mostly for my benifit. If you had a spare secound could you answer these two Question (without googling it).

    1. Which goverment faction did Jake work for?

    2. What branch of the military was Jake serving under on pandora?

  • in every aspects i agree!
