I saw Cheap Trick open for Aerosmith back in 2004. First of all Cheap Trick were way better that night, second of all... Aerosmith's bassist Tom Hamilton ripped off this exact bass solo that night, quoting from "Within You, Without You" and everything, right before the intro to "Sweet Emotion", although he did it on a 4-string bass instead of a 12.
