No offense man but i've never had a problem with a subs surround "drying out and breaking" though i've only had rubber surrounds, nothing cheaper. Also I dont see how Vaseline could give a surround more 'bounce' hence excursion is controlled by the motor and not limited by the surround. Just my 2 cents though.

@wayne2ooo8 very very very light amount gives it more bounce and keeps it from drying out and breaking.

Those are the Best Infinity's subs ever made .. they last a long time... Trust me in the summer put a little vasaline around the rubber.. very " very lightly " and watch your base sound way more smooth..
