Skeptics who question testimony are a consequence of anecdotal evidence. While eyewitnesses are permissible in the realm of debate, it is not the most cogent form argumentation can take. For example, I would find a fragment off of a flying saucer who's constitution is not on the Periodic Table to be more compelling evidence then even a career military man's testimony of touching such spacecraft.
