Save the Rainforest campaigner and musician Sting talks on the deforestation of Brazilian rainforests and the threat to the rainforest's indigenous people, and the Brazilian plans for hydroelectric power stations in the region.
This less-than-intelligent seeming interviewer was representing the BBC? I took him to be a muck-raking tabloid hack. His focus was not on the real problem - the deforestation of the Amazonian rainforest and the ensuing destabilization of earth's climate.
So obviously delighted with his attack on Sting's "hypocrisy", I'd love to ask him what HE'S done for the earth lately...
Sting has done much to offset his carbon footprint - though it would kill critics to admit the long list.
gasoline and Brazilian hard woods found at Home Depot are used by most humans walking the face of the Earth. this might be thought about in reaching HIGHER ground when considering the OXYGEN contribution of the Amazon Rain Forest!
try holding your breath! the environment is kinda CRITICAL ;-]

That interviewer is a full and through idiot. Sting handled that gracefully.

Well Jeremy, how hard have YOU tried to offset YOUR carbon footprint...
I ask, because if you haven't, you have no right to take the higher-than-thou stance in this.
