Learn about new research on women and retirement from ING U.S. Retirement CEO Maliz Beams. Women are a powerful force in our economy. Yet, an ING Retirement Research Institute study found that women, especially mothers and single women, have far less saved for retirement than men. ING's study found that only one quarter of women have a formal investment plan to reach their retirement goals. Among mothers, close to half indicated they don't know how to achieve those retirement goals, while only one-third calculated how much they'll need to save.
