  • @LibertaerUeberAlles You should ride the way you are comfortable.

Myself, I prefer a lot of recline, because that way my bottom doesn't get num on a long ride and it's quite a lot more aerodynamic. With a neck support attached to the seat I can rest my neck now and then, when the road is smooth enough. My M5 highracer has 21degrees recline....

  • I put an HP seat on my Nazca, and it even has the seat extension. Now the seat goes up to about 38-degrees, which is reasonably comfortable for me, but after a few hours the pressure on my tailbone (and neck) becomes unbearable.

I tried the BodyLink seat on both a Scorpion and GrassHopper. Nicely constructed seats, but no improvement for me on the tailbone issue; still too short at the bottom -- or too much down-angle.

Next, I'm getting a mesh-seat recumbent. I'm done with shells for now :-)

  • u can adjust the seat angle on both, Speed- and Streetmachine. AFAIK the Speedmachine (SPM) allows a more reclined seat that the SM. I myself own a SPM, have the BodyLink seat as reclined as possible, which is *very* comfortable, even w/o a headrest.

  • the SpeedMachine looks comfortable, but the StreetMachine looks too reclined and would irritate my neck at that angle. I like more upright seating -- 45 degrees or more.
