The mid-70s big bird wasn't TOO scary...but the one before this version...OMG! Gave me the creeps and stuck for years. I think Big Bird was just frightening to me in general... the earliest one I could remember... EVIL. The present-day BB I can tolerate... yes, I had a very dysfunctional childhood...
