www.facebook.com/jamesgale This song from 1791 by Robert Burns dates back to an earlier anti-Jacobite song from 1746! Here it's James Gale giving his interpretation of it. James is from Bristol, England, but now lives on the Swedish westcoast, which is where this video was shot (Särö Västerskog), 24th June 2010.

  • Danfan the song does date back to an earlier song but it wasn't a Jacobite song. It is based on a vehemently anti-Jacobite song. Burns in this song turns it more into an anti-war song. Still blaming the Jacobites for the conflict but taking out all the anti-Jacobite rhetoric of the original. Good version though!
