@enclosedfury I don't know... "Streetz Is Callin" sounds like a "This is my last song" (and if you remember he wanted to retire), it's like he did it for that album, same for QG7, I think.
I know he worked on the Greatest Hits, he forced them to put "Trouble" on it.
Then there's another wack ass greatest hits they made without asking, but that's another album.

This shit is fire just site back and let the beat ride but after the lyrics he should have just let the beat keep banging for like 2 more minutes.....Way to bring The Legendary Jodeci back to....Quik is Legendary one of my top 3 favorite Artist.....

Oh true say.
I like this one but I find it odd that he put rapping and singing over the Quik's Groove. Wasn't the point of Quiik's Grooves to be instrumental breaks.

Quik confirmed that "Medley For A"V" (Reprise)" is actually Quik's Groove 4. So, no... that's not it. The thing is Quik had nothing to do with the "Best of" album. That album was put out by the label to fulfill the contract agreement. They put on one of his unused instrumentals as Quik's Groove VII. This is after they dropped him and after he put out another album "Under Tha Influence" on another label. So, I guess he figured, "Fuck that! I didn't put that album out so THIS is Quik's Groove VII"
I was kind of kind of disappointed when I heard this. I mean, it's not really bad, but it's not really a "Quik's Groove" because it has lyrics and doesn't have that feel. I prefer the one from "Da Finale (Best Of)" Album. I consider THAT one to be the REAL "Quik's Groove VII".
This is ok though...

I feel you. This one is actually the 8th groove, number 7 was on the best of album. I also consider a true Quik's Groove to be an instrumental only, no lyrics.

Yeah, it's the 8th... but he still named it "Quik's Groove VII". I think that was because he was dropped from Arista records because "Balance & Options" didn't sell that well, but he was still under contract to release one more album on the label, so they put out a "Best Of" album and just threw one of his instrumentals on there and called it "Quik's Groove VII". So he figured he'd make a true "Quik's Groove VII". That's what I think anyway. The other one is still better though.

Or maybe he just made a mistake and miscounted : )
Isn't the other greatest hits album the one you're talking about? The one that Arista put out cos of the contract? That is the one, I didn't buy that one.
