hilfiger said he didnt expect black ppl to wear his clothes, b/c at the time the style of clothing he made wasnt popular among black ppl. but of course it became popular among them (i should say us, but im speaking in 3rd person lol) and he was just saying he was surprised by it.

Wait-- the FUBU part was illogical? I think that part was important because, as you likely know, they are commenting on how many (not all) black people are spending money on items we don't need when we and our communities are economically falling behind. It's saying that the solution lies among black people to solve our problems. And one of the ways to do that is to support black business and try to use our money to develop our communities-- communities that many whites complain about.

Structurally it was illogical to me - I understand what you are saying - however, I was saying that it was illogical because the writer made certain allegations over and over again - then suddenly jumps to an opposing statement out of no where and without any other statements like it. Its kinda like driving down a mile road in a straight line and then swirving really quick for no reason.

Other than that this poem is very bias and I don't agree with many of the views expressed within it. However, it has made me think!
