Paul The Octopus Predict The Final - Netherlands VS Spain

Paul the Octopus picks Spain to beat Netherlands in World Cup 2010 final.
Paul, the Oberhausen-based Octopus whose World Cup 'predictions' have become such a part of this tournament, has 'tipped' Spain to beat the Netherlands in Sunday's final. The captive sea creature makes his predictions based upon mussels placed in two boxes in his tank. Each box is clearly marked with the opposing country's flags.

Using his species' famed reasoning skills, Paul opens one of the boxes in order to east the mussel, thereby indicating which country he favours.

This is the first time he has been asked to predict the outcome of a game not involving Germany, and the prophet of the deep would seem to favour Spain to leave South Africa as champions.

He has not been wrong with any of his previous predictions.
