@TheRealCritique In my mind, everyone matters but naturally I'm inspired by the achievements of people like Jay-Z; completely regardless of his nationality or race. In my opinion there is a difference between rap and hip hop, Jay-Z being an artist of the latter; but taking your point on rap, I'd have to agree in the past rappers have largely been overlooked as musicians in any sense. It is people like Jay-Z that are changing this with an eclectic range of good musical scope in his songs.

@0ldsk00ln00b Your opinion that he's a genius is the one that's held by a very small minority of all people, but I know in your mind, the only people in the world that matter are american blacks. I can tell you for a fact that among musicians who play instruments, rap in general is not admired.

Sorry, Jay Z sucks, and he's not original, even for a rapper. His meter isn't original, and his subject matter is that same old same old ghetto bullshit.
