A video review of the Hornby Coronation Class. Hunted for ages to get one of these. If you aren't bother which exact one you want, there are loads out there available in blue, maroon and gold (as seen here) and wartime black. Lookout for the NRM special "Duchess of Hamilton" which celebrates the newest addition to the museum.

  • that happens with alot of a4 models!

  • @DaRkCaBoOdLe137 Yeah, you can fix it by removing the linkage.

  • get it off the carpet man

  • @jmsschooner Indeed, I do need to build a proper layout! I'm currently planning a table layout which will be semi-permanent. I've built 6'x12' worth of boards, now for the laying of the tracks!

  • Thats true with mine and its noisy going backwards than forwards, though it is a beautyful engine

  • @mattbozi89 Thanks! Yeah, i think it needed running in, so all the various odd noises have stopped now! I also managed to replace one of those little details which broke off the front. Definitely one of my favourites. I might get the blue version, if I can find a nice one.

  • @danwarren97 I hadn't run mine yet, I'll watch out for problems once I get a controller for it!

  • @JustInn014 me too, odd question, did yours have a problem with the motor when you got it, and had to be changed because I did, and that is about four years ago and it is fantastic now, good running, powerful, theres not a bad thing about it.

  • thats a Princess Coronation Class, streamlined of course, i have the Princess Alexander, a blue and silver one. The Princess Coronations were not suppose to be streamlined, they were only streamlined so they could compete with the LNER A4s. After the war the streamlining was removed as it wasn't suppose to be permenant

  • I bought Coronation in blue when it first came out over ten years ago. About 14 Bachmann MK1's is there limit whether they be in the Streamline or Duchess variant.

  • the piece you took of Mallard also happened to me, it was making things look ugly and derailed mallard so now, its been removed

  • I wish mines ran this smoothly if i run mines slow so it looks good it just stops all the time dont know why because all track is connected although Im just new so I have a 6ft by 4ft so very very small

  • Good vid

  • @streamlinedtrains want to be frends?
