Smokin' Pickin' (a song for Joe Robinson) - Yeman Al-Rawi (original)

Hey!

Here's a new video of me playing an original tune that I wrote after being inspired by Joe Robinson's "Bergeson Fries", which was the first piece I heard from Joe's work.

If you're not familiar with Joe Robinson, then you're missing one of the world's greatest guitarists... at just 18, he's already been performing sold-out concerts, inspiring many people around the world to pick up their guitars, and adding his name to the list of greats in fingerstyle guitar.

Joe, you simply rock my friend! To me, you're #1 along with Tommy Emmanuel... keep it up.

The camera work and quality isn't that great but I hope you like it. It might be a little out of sync...

(btw, this is the first boom-chic tune that I ever wrote.)

Nice to see you composing some great fingerstyle... and Joe Robinson is a helluva nice guy... met him at the CAAS in July and talked to him for about 20 minutes... didn't even know WHO he was until after I got home and saw him on YouTube! :-) This vid will be posted on the Acoustic Virtuosity Archives - best of the best acoustic music on YouTube...
