This is my best run on Friday a 30.49. It put me in the lead for Friday.
"Code red" is the name of my 1972 Firebird. It took me 22 months to build and paint in my garage at home. The motor is a Mast Motorsport LS3 VVT (Variable valve timing) 416cu. In. with 570 HP. Flex-a-lite radiator keeps the engine cool. Montoring the engine are Livorsi marine gages, modified by Paul Dyck at Gun Gages. The transmission is a Bowler transmission 4L80E with a 2200 stall torque converter. The car shifts via Twist Machine paddle shifters or the Cadillac DTS shifter. The front suspension is DSE Hydra formed sub-frame, DSE frame connectors and DSE Quadralink rear suspension. The brakes are baer 14" pro 6 piston fronts and 13" Pro 6 piston rear. The wheels are Rushforth wheels Night Trains 19 x 10 fronts 19 x 12 rears. The tires are Nitto Invo 275/30/19 fronts and 345/30/19 rears. The paint is BASF R-M base & clear. Viper red, Storm Gray and Glory Gold.
I built did most of the metal, fiber glass and paint work. The interior was done by Shawn Appleman.
