Maveerar Naal 2009, Heroes Day

November 27th, Heroes Day.

This is the day we remember our true heroes and all those who have sadly lost their lives in the conflict to free our homeland Tamil Eelam.

This is the day we set aside our troubles to not only mourn the lives of the men and women who fought bravely for our land, but to graciously honour them too.

Along with many others, I humbly request that every Tamil attends the remembrance event within your countries out of respect towards these many lives now lost forever.

Over the past year, too many lives have been lost in our Tamil Eelam. As the diaspora, our duty is to pay tributes to these brave hearts.

On this day, we shall pay our humble respect and mark the sacrifices of all the commanders, freedom fighters and the civilians who laid down their lives. And in memory of all those who have sacrificed their lives for freedom in Tamil Eelam, let us unite together as one and promise ourselves that all is not lost.

Hope is on our side and together, we shall succeed to reach towards our Tamil Eelam.
