* The Tears of April is about finnish civil war.

*Finnish civil war is one of the history's bloodiest civil war in whole world. It begun when 1917 people lived in recession, but prices in shops raised to heaven and there was a big need for groceries. People had to have a cards to get those, but still it wasn't enough. Big cities had almost famine.
Hungry motivated more poor people to speak out loud about their situation and people supported socialism. Also many Russian soldier caused anxiety with people and Senate couldn't do a thing about it, because there weren't any polices or army - thanks to Russia. In 1917 people arranged Red Guards and bourgeois did the same.

In the begging of October 1917 socialism lost 11 places from parliament. People then realized that there was no another way than cause revolution. In November socialism send "Me vaadimme" ("We insist") to parliament, but they didn't accept it. Socialism pronounced universal walkout. It went on a week and it made possible to cut Finland to two camps: Red and White.

In January 1918 bourgeois Senate got rights to bring an order there even in a hard way if it is the only way. It all meant that Senate were going to built an army. Socialism didn't like it, because they though that there was going to be an army to protect bourgeois senate.

Real fight started in Helsinki 27 January 1918, when Reds tried to make takeover. They also tried to take all members of Senate, but they didn't get any of them since most of them had run to Vaasa and some of them were hiding in Helsinki.

Same time in South Pohjanmaa White's generallieutenant Mannerheim got South Pohjanmaa's russian soldiers from weapons. It was quick operation and russians were sent home without weapons.

White sides 'capital' was in Northern Finland and Red's 'capital' was in southwest of Finland (their line goes little bit norther on Pori-Tampere-Lahti-Lappeenranta-Viipuri)

REMEMBER THIS: Finnish civil war broke Finland to two sides and even after the war, it still affected people's lives UNTIL The winter war, when finnish people fought together. That's why nowadays people don't rasism anothers if their family was from the red side or white side.

So winter war brought something good. : 3
