Based on an Electric Scooter:

Frame modificated and welded new ~80%
- original front fork modified with brakes and bigger bolts
- rear wheel is taken from a pocketbike, brake caliper adapted to rear rocker, rocker widened
- aluminium footboards selfmade and adapted to frame with selfmade holders

Engine:

49ccm 3 Port 2Stroke Engine (Pocketbike)
- Big Bore Cylinder (49ccm)
- tuning crankshaft with full radius crank cheeks
- 2 disk fly-clutch with hard springs
- crappy simple exhaust without expansion chamber
- original carb widened to 12mm (crap!)

planed for 2008:

bigger 14mm go-kart carburator
more frame mods (especially at the footboards)
manifold/exhaust mods (expansion chamber)
more bodywork (plastic "hood" in progress)

  • wait for the updated version :P

  • how big is the moter how many cc and hp

  • 49cc - hp? at that time maybe 3-4 hp...

  • ok i have one question i havent been able to find out.. but can u run a dirtbike engine without the expansion chamber.. wat does a expansion chamber do???

  • you can run it without, but it's not the best way... a good exp. ch. gives you lots of more power it feels like a supercharger...

  • I think it looks great man, you'r a genius.

  • NICE, but you haven't done any important modification to the engine-transmission, that's why your goped go "fast", but the real homebuilt gopeds are made with modified chainsaw-weedeater engines with homebuilt trasmission and so on.

I'll put a video of my real 100% homemade gas scooter from a chainsaw engine and a electric scooter chassis.

  • @TheMF299 yes it's possible but you need welding experience and you need a Goped frame, wheels, and deck which is like $150 plus the weed wacker motor and tools, time, and experience. Making a weed wacker bicycle is alot easier and cheaper...just buy a used Goped sport from craigs list for like $150...that's what I did :D

  • whts this song called? n is it possible to make a gas scooter with a weed wacker motorr????????

  • @comandoaec have you made a video of your homemade gas scooter yet?

I'm surious to see what yours looks like. I'm sure your homemade scooter looks great, but surely you gotta give these guys a credit for using a pocket rocket engine instead of the original engine, along with modified platform.

  • cool

  • THAT is NOT a goped

  • sweet as man remember back pressure for those 2 strokes

  • cool u put it up yet?

  • I've made one too, but mine is twice as long as yours. I've used a front and rear wheel from a pocketbike. It has a bigbore kit (highpressure), rocketkey, racing clutch, rocketkey, etc. etc.

    Anyway very nice scooter!!

  • Go-Ped?
