A Zero.Gravity Production
We did this as a final project in our English course. The project was fairly open, the only real criteria being present the Shakespearian play Romeo and Juliet in a creative manner. Most people chose to do their project using an idea from the project summary sheet we were given, either Speed Shakespeare (present the entire play in under five minutes), Slautered Shakespeare (parody of a scene), or Modern Shakespeare (the play if it happened today). We decided to use our own idea, a puppet show, due to both our obsessions with the Mysterious Ticking Noise Potter Puppet Pals video here on YouTube. We honored that video when Juliet sang Happy Dagger before stabbing herself, since we couldn't do the entire project in the true MTN manner. Limited to 40 minutes of filming time, needless to say we could have done better.
When this was shown to our class, they found it funny, but I imagine that's because they understood all the inside jokes. So who knows what you'll think? We'd like to know, so please leave a comment if you have time.
-Zero & Gravity
The (good) puppets were done by Zero, and the crappy ones were done by Gravity. When we look back, we realise Zero should have done all of them so that they would all have been done in the same style. Camera setup and lighting were managed by Gravity. Script was written by both Zero and Gravity.
