Katie Couric on Sarah Palin "CBS Evening News" 6:43pm Interview
TOPIC: Abortion and separation of church and state
TRANSCRIPT: KATIE COURIC: Why, in your view, is Roe v. Wade a bad decision?
SARAH PALIN: I think it should be states issue. Not federal government mandating yes or no on such an important issue. Im, in that sense a federalist, where I believe that states should have more say in the laws of their lands and individual areas. Now, foundationally also though, its no seceret that Im pro-life, that I believe that a culture of life is, is very important for this country and personally thats what I would like to see further embraced by, by America.
COURIC: Do you think theres an inherent right to privacy in the consitution?
PALIN: I do. I do.
COURIC: Thats the cornerstone of Roe. v Wade.
PALIN: I do and I believe that individual states can best handle what the people within the different constituencies within the fifty states would like to see their will ushered in in an issue like that.
COURIC: What other supreme court decisions do you disagree with?
PALIN: Hmm. Well, lets see, theres, of course, in the great history of America there have been rulings that theres never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are those issues again, like Roe v. Wade where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. Going through the history of America, there would be others.
COURIC: Can you think of any?
PALIN: Well, I would think of, of, any again that could best be dealt with on a more local leve. Maybe I would take issue with. But you know, as a mayor and as a governor and even as a vice president . . . I wouldnt be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it lays today.
COURIC: Thomas Jefferson wrote about building a wall of separation between church and state. Why do you think thats so important?
PALIN: . . . so that government did not mandate a religion on the people . . . people have the ability and the desire to express their own religious views. Be it on a very personal level, which is where I choose to express my faith, or in a more public forum . . . Clip Label: KC SP CBS 10-01-08 18.42 (EW#467) WL

"I believe a culture of life is very important" then why don't you speak out against all the thousands of innocent ACTUALLY HUMAN civilians being killed up in Iraq? Or how about all the innocent live animals you hunt and kill on a regular basis?!?!? Huh, Mrs. Palin? Oh yeah, that's right, because the only "life" you care about are unborn fetuses that can't live without the mother's support prior to 24 weeks, if you take it out before that, it'll die, dumb bitch.
Damn Katie Couric is sexy.. shes got that sultry cougar quality to her, like I know as a younger guy I might have a shot at her when she goes 'slumming'.. she's much hotter a MILF than the shrill, shrewd, dried up, frigid, insane, ignorant Palin.
she said she in that sense a federalist. what a dumb fuck. federalists are people who want to have stronger national government not those who want states to have more power. STUPID
i don't think it's lack of intelligence, i think it's complete lack of knowledge, she hasn't a clue what the hell Couric's on about. that's ok, if you're just be a 'hockey mom' but not if you want to be VP of the USA! And the lack of knowledge, at her age, with her job, has to reflect her utter lack of interest; by now she should have picked up even some basic knowledge. She just wants power, not responsibility. Like a female version of Bush - able to be 'folksy' but hasn't a clue about facts.
bye bye Palin..you incompetent dummy. Go home and take care of your kids..go be a hockey mom..go make some porno..haha...dummy...OBAMA VICTORY 2008...and to all the racist fucks out there..HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!! !!!
It doesn't matter what Palin does or says, if you are a liberal you're going to pick her apart. The liberal media does the same thing.Pay attention to Couric's face when interviewing the two candidates. It is harsh, almost pissed off when she is talking to Palin, and a little sweetin when talking to OBiden.
because palin can't form a sentence you piece of shit. there wasn't a single sentence in any of those questions she answered that was gramatically correct and thats saying something. + she is talking about one thing at the beginning and forgets it by the end of the sentence making a fool of herself. ZSHUT THE FUCK UP. liberal media? FUCK YOu
