@themechanic345 lol

I don't have exact specs of HP on the GTR, just word of mouth from owner of claimed 580whp (some people exaggerate). I was really quite shocked about the results of the race but at the same time knew the weight issue would be a determinant factor.

If the GTR got the jump on the z06 then the GTR should of kept pulling if it was making more power then the z06...
-
@AjViShus In order for that to be true the z06 would have to all of a sudden catch up and pass the GTR up to a car length then all of a sudden stop pulling...so from 120-180mph only 1 car length was made? If it took that long for the z06 to put a car length on the GTR how it end up side by side by 120 if the GTR was pulling on the z06?

im not changing my story, theirs 400 something characters remaining and i can't put in the whole story :) lol why would i start about the GTR being a hog after 120mph if the reeling back in didn't start at that. all the way up to 120mph the GTR was ahead, but after that the vette started to reel in the GTR to ULTIMATELY win by a car length at 180. How hard is that to believe? the car weighs around 3150lbs with light CF seats, gutted interior, & has a good driver. lol

@AjViShus You keep changing the story lol. If the z06 had to reel in the GTR and was 1 car length ahead by 180mph then the GTR then you had to have been even with the GTR by around 170mph. And i highly doubt a 550hp z6 will take a tune/midpipe/downpipe GTR from a roll.
-
No the GTR was ahead no more than 115mph at most, we even'd it up around 120-130 (i don't really recall) but the Z06 held the lead all the way up until 180mph (speedo).
-
@AjViShus the GTR was ahead from 50-170ish mph... i wouldn't call that a win imo. And are those numbers to the wheels? Because GTR's with a tune,midpipe,and downpipe make 550+hp to the ground on 93 pump trapping a good bit over 130mph.... a 580whp GTR would be trapping around 137
Giggling like a schoolgirl. I would too!

@shoeish I realize that. However, a 800 hp vette will never put the power to the ground like 800hp gtr will. Just not possible. With slicks, or drag radials, maybe closer. My take on it is, AWD will always prevail over a RWD vehicle. No matter the power. I realize that doesn't ascertain to the drag and overall aero performance of each vehicle. But I will take a less powerful awd car over a more powerful rwd car every day.
