Ok I just picked up a PS3 and want to buy this but I'm not huge on super-stealth games. Is this evenly shooter/stealth or more one than the other? Please reply.

@meliketalaugh It handles shooting and stealth very well, and I think you can get away with playing it as a shooter, but it's more fun stealthing since you can blend into anything you're up against.

okay, im confused, i havent played MGS 4. does it have Solid Snake or Naked Snake (Big Boss)?

@TVBST4Rs Well, it is the supposed wrap-up of Solid Snake's story, so it would be a little difficult to follow.

From what I understand though, there IS a Metal Gear Solid encyclopedia thingamajig on the PS3 or MGS4 itself where you can look up things that you are curious about.

@GoldeneyeMarine So, you're saying that the game, that is considered the best of a series that has the best story of all in the opinion of playes and critics as well, is considered technically flawless because there is no glitch or bug, has incredible animations and very smart gameplay with FANTASTIC and creative boss fights and great graphics even though the director had to make them a little "worse" because the ps3 system couldn't run, seems a random game? Serious, man...

I am working towards a PS3 just so I can get this. I am selling my Wii and all my games for it to give a solid head start. I'm excited. I also want the Ico and Shadow the Colossus HD collection, Uncharted 1-3, Killzone 2 and 3, Resistance 1-3 and Little Big Planet. But I'm keeping my 360 so I can still play F.E.A.R.(the good version for consoles) Gears of War 1-3 and Halo 1-3, ODST and Reach and 4 (when it comes out) and also Metro 2033 and Mass Effect 1. YAY!!

i never never neverwanted to play a stealth game cus i didnt like the stealth in splinter cell, the i found this and it just STOLE MY HART when i played this... easily GOTY

@meliketalaugh i actually NEVR wanted 2 play astealth game then i found this and it stole my hart, just be prepared 2 sit 30 min 4 some cutscenes

but this is EASILY 1 of my favgames ever
