Marty is the 5th Highwaymen in absentia.

Makes me think of my dad. His mom died giving birth to him. His father also despised him and he was raised by his older siblings. He was the last of 12.
( He was locked in a mental prison of guilt caused by his father) He was an alcoholic and my mother got tired of the pain of being his wife also. He died in 1999 from a mountain that was (for him) to high to climb...(cancer).
I miss you daddy.

Gives me chills: Marty had a connection, as Elvis did, with his audience - he gave every drop of himself to those who gathered to listen. He was a selfless, kind-hearted, benevolent soul. Married once, this man should be a gentleman's pin-up: kind-hearted, ridiculously talented, humble, and a non-womaniser. But he was cheeky as hell; even when he was told not to perform during his heart problems, Marty said "the hell with it, where's my guitar?" Then he performed better than ever. LEGEND!!!
