Meridian played in and around Hobart, roughly from the mid-seventies to the mid-eighties. The band consisted of Paul Nightingale (keys), Denis Reid (kit), Mike Raine (guitars) and Jon Aufder-heide (lead vocals).

Meridian recorded "Isn't it funny?" at Nick Armstrongs Spectangle studios, releasing it on the Candle Records label. The B-side was "Summer Sensation".

This video was filmed at TVT6 in Hobart for the Saturday Morning Confusion show with Cooke and Moore.
