haha wow, even dan fogelberg can hit the mainstream rock charts in the 80s. my mom always liked him, and im starting to really see why. i still think "longer" is one of the worst songs ever, but a lot of his other songs i know are great.

This song reminds me of Sammy Hagar's "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy"

Are you sure about that date? The album Exiles was released in 1987, which meant Dan filmed this video five years later and also produced another album in the process , The Wild Places in 1990.That last music video was from The Wild Places, Listen to the Rhythm of the Rain. The

How can you not love Exiles!? One of my favorites also!
Thank you, Dan, we miss you so!

I've got this video on a Betamax archive!
Likely a better copy. Also the song is on a best of CD I came across.

One of my favorite Dan Fogelberg songs, and sadly, this was his last charting pop single on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

I am sooo jealous! How lucky you were to be able to meet Dan and see the making of this video! A dream of many people. And, yes, I remember "albums"! Still have mine. Damn, I'm old!

How wonderful to have found this video! I also didn't know that Dan had passed away. I had the great priviledge to be a 21 year old kid living in New Orleans at the time. I was working for a photographer who was involved with the shooting of this video and was able to tag along with Dan and the production crew. It was a wonderful experience. The people from Epic Records were very kind to me and sent me a box full of "albums". Remember those, anyone?
That was great and fun to watch! But I am happy that Dan did things his way and kept his integrity intact instead of selling his soul like far too many artists do. That's what I love about Dan the most-well that and his incredible voice and beautiful songs.

I can't believe that I found this video! I am the "apparition" in the video! We shot that video over a two day period in the French Quarter. Dan was a kind and fun person to work with while filming the video. This was shot May 1992. RIP, Dan...
