How to run Brawl Without Homebrew

****UPDATED:**** New downloads mean you no longer have to remove and update the file names from the SD card. You just need to go into Brawl, load Gecko OS through the hack, and then start the game and everything's good. Credit goes to Bionic Sonic.

This is a guide on how to run Brawl without Homebrew. This uses Comex's new SSBB exploit that he released.

This is for anyone who wants to use Brawl codes but is afraid of voiding their warranty or bricking their Wii, you are almost completely safe from both things. Completely safe if you don't use other codes.

This only works on NTSC-U Wii's atm, sorry.

I don't go to the Gecko OS menu like you do. How come?

You need to delete every stage. Every one. Make sure you have no online download stages either.


It says "No SD codes found". Why?

You need to keep your SD card in until you get to the menu of Brawl after loading the codes.


I can load Brawl fine but after choosing a stage, the game freezes. Why?

Chances are this is because you didn't rename your "stage" that loads the Gecko OS, because this stops you from loading games. Thats why you had to inactivate it, if the two first letter of it are st, thats your problem.
