After completing my first project, I had part of a great Mozart piece just sitting there in MIDI form, and I didn't want it to go to waste, so I went ahead and expanded upon it. This is what came out.
Now I know that there are many other "Mozart Rock" videos here on YouTube, especially of this piece (see Vadrum's video!), but none of them are like mine here.

Just in case you were wondering, this piece was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1783 or 1778. It is the third movement ("Turkish Rondo/Turkish March/Alla Turca") of Mozart's 11th piano sonata. I added all the bass, guitar, and drum parts.

The opening part at the beginning that ISN'T Mozart is me attempting to play in MIDI the melody found in the Blue Man Group song segments from my first project (and previous video). It's all in A minor, anyway; The drum part in this section is exactly the same in the first section. Kinda improv in the second. Full-on Mozart after that.

  • you need help with your drums

  • @snakefaceproductionz:

What do you expect me to do? Copy @vadrum ? He drummed to this song way better than anyone else ever could. I'll have you know I'm very proud of my drum sequencing with this song, against your opinion.

  • @dogman15 listen to how real drum solos sound and experiment

  • I appreciate your advice, but:

    1. I no longer have access to MIDI-creating software.

    2. I'm pleased with the drum part I created for this project.

    3. The drums don't need to sound fancier, and they function well for their purpose in this song. The main part is in the piano, anyway. Drums bass and guitar are all based off the original piano part by Mozart.

Since you're so interested in this project, I thought you might want to know that I'm putting a MIDIjam version up sometime soon.

  • Sounds like something the Trans-Siberian Orchestra would do.

I wouldn't be surprised if they already have...
