All arguments here are logically incorrect. It takes about half of your personality to even consider an anime, and that's just ambivalence. You have to 'resonate' with the anime to like it, as well as video games, books, etc. I like being in games that have a medieval setting and the main character is a knight. I like the Legend of Zelda. I'm a (admitted) perv, and I like to joke around. I like Ore no Imouto/Lucky Star/etc. It all depends. Flaming eachother is only making you look dumb.
-
@Karterii That's a logical fallacy. Just because a massive amount of people like something, that doesn't mean it's something everyone will like it, and it doesn't mean it's good or not. I like to use the Twilight series as an example. A large population of america loved the series. Does that mean its the best collection of modern novels ever? No.
Also, your assumption of an "indirect statement" is also a fallacy, but I am out of characters to type to explain why. Also, its "anime", not "animes."

@Aleypapi1 No EVERY character in lucky star has moe points. Its just that Miyuki and Yutaka are WALKING moe. Konata has the baby looks, Tsukasa is just adorable. Kagami has the tsundere part
-
@Aleypapi1 I guess, but not really moe. They're kind of like, child eating a lollipop cute.
-
@VoodooPuppies Well, mostly Miyuki. The others are just cute.
-
@Aleypapi1 Not really.
-
@VoodooPuppies And Lucky Star? Miyuki, Tsukasa, Kagami and Konata are all moe at their own way.

@allforanime24 I love how a bunch of fanboys down voted my first comment without understanding where I'm coming from just because I said "Anime is still massively gay". I love Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell and lots others, but the truth is that 90% of anime out there will never hold a candle to series like that because they're not making them to progress in story telling, they're making them to fan service the basement trolls.

@Khalirei ikr, I like Bleach, but funimation likes F&*king up the translations, and it is getting repetitive. Here's how its going so far: relax season, save the girl,random off topic filler, 2 more seasons of getting the helpless girl, repeat. Whatever happened to good NON-REPETITIVE anime's. TT.TT
@Takanashiv2
Most of the Animes you have seen are most likely the most popular ones in America, so you are actually saying "All Animes that most Americans like are massively gay", which also reveals an indirect statement "All Americans have a massively gay taste".
As my english teacher would say 'If you think something is really boring, you just didn't find the right perspective yet".

@Karterii
Good point, but that isn't what I meant. I just have a dislike for the excessive moeblob direction 2010 anime is starting to exhibit (as evidenced by anime like K-On! and Ore no Imouto). It's not that I don't think they're good for what they are; it's just that I don't think going for maximum moe is better than caring more about plot or even action. But if this is the direction anime is going to go (even for now) I'm okay with that. I just hope for more non-moe quality anime.

Anime is still massively gay, but I love this medley. And at least most of the anime in this video is decent.

@Khalirei Yes, the majority of anime is massively gay, but it in no ways impairs the glory of this medley.
But how do you hate anime yet have a profile littered with things like Final Fantasy, Haruhi, an--oh wait, modern anime is basically represented by K-On! and moeblob now. I agree.

@Takanashiv2 I just don't like how they waste so much talent on tv series with super low quality animation, they literally rush these animators to do a sloppy job and just get that crap out there just to make a quick buck. It's like naruto and dragon ball and bleach, all those huge tv series can't stop showing episodes if they get too close to the comic books, instead they make up random stories to fill in the gaps, just so they keep making money.

@Khalirei You mentioned the forbidden words.
And it is because you are right that I am sad.
