Well a song sung in norwegian wouldnt display much spirit or intent to people who cannot speak the language, hence why its translated so others may also understand, even if you believe it is lesser for it.

It is a beautiful song, and it is a nice translation. Ofcourse it is not as strong as when on norwegian, but it is hard to find translated poems which manage to keep all the force and vigor as on the original language.

Should go like this:
War is contempt for life
Peace is creation
Death's march is halted by
determination
-
i.e. "by" belongs to the third line
-
This translation does not capture the beautiful message of the song, nor is it as powerful as the original.

Til alle er i dyp sorg etter tragedien i Oslo og Utøya.

Today all norwegians listen to Nordal Griegs words. Our sorrow is endless today. A beautiful translation. Hope, Love, To all those who moan.

Go to /watch?v=paqerBKXqss instead. Annoying to see reuploads get more views than originals.

Thank you for uploading this! Really nice translation.

Hvordan skal ordet om fred ellers spres om ikke på forskjellige språk? Ja, det er en norsk sang, men den burde vært alles.
While a very beautiful song, this is a rather poor translation of the original, nor does it properly display the spirit and intent behind the original.
