DNC Vice Chair Ray Buckley responds to GetEQUAL campaign "We'll Give When We GetEQUAL" via email. The campaign calls on an immediate Executive Order to end the discharges under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" by President Obama. GetEQUAL is asking its supporters not to give time or money until that Executive Order is in place to protect the dignity of LGBT service members.

  • It is interesting that Mr. Buckley says he has gotten more money this year than ever before...is that his goal? To use our donations to have champagne "lobbying" events on Dupont Circle? Now we now what the gay establishment is about.

  • Sickening? And does he use right on purpose or he just can't spell write?

Do your job. Good Lord. You work for us.

  • How fascinating that he gets insulted. But LGBT people are supposed to wait.

  • @MrMusicFlood I love how annoying GetEQUAL is.

  • Let the people vote on it. Democracy means majority rules. Give the people the power then support the result.

  • Hey Democrats tomorrow is the big day.....when you see what happens without gays and progressives voting for you.

  • I don't believe that bigot when he says he is raising more queer dollars.

  • Anybody notice he used the wrong word? He said "right" when he should have used "wright". Moron!

  • More OUTSIDE money, indeed.

  • @bluecollarjock You're right. They didn't want DADT. They wanted to keep the original full ban. But, once it was clear that Clinton was moving ahead with lifting the ban, then they did want it. And they got it. The irony is, of course, that the discharge rate increased under DADT and the military itself, which argued that the policy is needed due to "unit cohesion" issues in stressful close proximity situations had a secret 1998 policy to ignore DADT arbitrarily (dishonorably discharging later).

  • @Golfer804 :ARE YOU NEW? You must be, I can tell from your statement you sad little queen! Republicans NEVER wanted DADT, they'd have no problem repealing it, unless of course, The Scheme Act and other bs legislation was added to the bill. If you're mad it didn't get repealed, go get pissy with the Hispanic Caucus and Harry Reid.........ASSHOLE!
