I DO NOT CLAIM TO MATCH THE TONE OF STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN HERE, i am using light gauge strings and just a simple distortion pedal, neither of which stevie ray vaughan uses, however these are the notes... this is an explanation of the 1st solo to Pride and Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughan... Look for the song at suckmyguitar.com... There the song will be explained from the first note to the very last!!! Tuning here from low to high is E flat-A flat-D flat-G flat-B flat-E flat.... Enjoy....
great stuff! part four even sounds great over country stuff

the only thing tht i would try to add is to stress on the hand tremolo and vibrato cuz if u wanna play a stevie ray vaughan song u gotta be able to really bend and control the strings u kno

nice man way to go.what's your gear it looks like you got good sized strings on i use 13's and they sound great but believe me,your finger are like sandpaper after you play.

What size strings do you use? The thickness, and warmness of the sound for SRV is crucial. Size 12 & 13's are what he used, 12's when his fingers were hurting. The lesson is nice, though the distortion does not sound like SRV's going through a Fender Twin Reverb or Fender Classic amp. Though your playing is good. Keep it up bro!
