In this issue, I look at the cars that were speculated to be KITT in the movie and cars that could be KITT, and one car in particular that was never likely to be a candidate for the rebirth of the Knight Industries Two Thousand.

  • They should seriously think to actually modify a car than to simply shove a scanner into the front and call it kitt. IMO the nissan pictured would be the best option.

  • Agreed.

  • Shame they aren't going for the new Camaro, I guess they won't for for the 2002 Firebird Trans Am either due to it's Fiberglass body.

  • Yeah, it is a shame. But they wanted something up to date, and as modern looking as the 2002 Trans Am is, it's 6 years out of date. Still, t'is a shame.

  • RX8 certainly does have potential, I've seen plenty of these in Black on the roads and they look fantastic. RX8 certainly gets my vote.

  • Ford Mustang Shelby 500 (in black) and can transform to a boring silver.. that is the new KITT.. get your facts straight

  • Interesting.

  • German cars are known for their luxury, not their reliablity. Merc, BMW, Audi, etc. have some of the most problems per car then any other manufacturer. The myth that Japanese cars are more dependable than American cars is simply the result of good advertising on the part of the Asians during the 1980's. Those commercials were designed to make simpled-minded un-informed consumers believe that the Japanese had a superior product. It appears to have worked on you. Japan only makes Jap Crap.

  • Mine? None whatsoever. I'm just a fan offering his 5 cents in opinions with this magazine.

I'm flattered that you think I was involved.

  • what is your involvement in the NEW Knight Rider Series pilot for NBC?
