IMO, Ataru Moroboshi embodies the hearts and souls of probably 95% of males in the world, but he's got more virtue than they do because at least he is 100% honest about himself. He does not declare his faithful love to a woman, and then cheats--but rather he tells Lum exactly who he is and what his intentions are, and leaves it up to her to choose. She chooses him, and they both suffer the consequences. If only real life were more like that, rather than lying and cheating...
