Define your arms and spark your practice with the cool new way to hoop- minis! The first movement to master in Mini Hooping is called heartbeat. It is a simple move, and learning it can be a challenge for the mind. Gabriella takes us through the movement with intention; reminding us that creating a perfect heartbeat is the foundation of the Minis, and that we will need to practice in order to build the muscles necessary to build skill. Later, we will add another small hoop for a complete Mini practice.

  • Thanks for this! I couldn't find any good off body beginner tutorials, and as I am 8 months pregnant, my body is asking me to take it easy. I'm really excited to teach myself mini-hooping through hoopnotica! Please keep us updated with these mini's videos!!

  • @AirVaughan I had a tough time in my third trimester doing anything at all, really. Good for you that you are continuing to hoop! I wish I would have had the minis at that stage. I encourage you to keep it simple and take a lot of pride in the small accomplishments here- keep the hoop strong and stable. Put intention into your movement. You're gonna need those strong arms and back for the baby, girl! Awesome!

  • Thanks for sharing this! I'm a huge Hoopnotica fan!

  • @AlexKazmierski THANK YOU for supporting my company and my vision! It is a pleasure to share it with you : )

  • Love your teaching style, Gabriella. You are an inspiration! What weight is your mini hoop tubing? It looks smaller and lighter than 3/4-inch, 160 psi.

  • @pilatesforu I use all sorts of sizes when mini hooping. Sometimes when I get tired, or am playing with tossing tricks, I use cheap kids hoops until I nail the timing down. I also like the Hoopnotica Travel Hoop with 5 instead of 6 segments. The mini hoops on the Hoopnotica site are 120 psi, 1/2".... 23" in diameter.... eveyone makes these a bit differently, and these are the size that I personally prefer : ) Thanks for commenting on the video!!

  • Hooping weather is back in NC and I'm excited about the teacher training in May. Love the minis and now looking at the Hoopnotica hybrid hoops. I want a little more room in the hoop to practice on-body to off-body moves but not the weight of the standard Hoopnotica (my first hoop). At , 32", 125 psi, is the Hybrid hoop also 1/2"? (Hoopnotica's website is awesome but it would be helpful to have hoop size, psi and diameter of the tubing for each hoop.)

  • this is great, can't wait to order some minis! for now I'll have to practice with my travel hoop :)

  • @yaviamirez You ROCK! The minis are so great for the arms and back- try using your travel hoop with one segment out for a smaller hoop and a great mini practice tool. I also love little toy hoops for this because they are cheap and light (when the workout gets tough!) Burn, baby, burn!

  • Thank you,Thank you, Thank you... I am lovin this monthly idea... You are a true inspiration... I just turned "50" last week and I plan on hooping myself fit by "51"... this will be great for my arms and I just received my travel hoop so here I go.... Huggs and Blessings, Yavia~

  • @pilatesforu I've got the mini's and they are 1/2'', I don't know about the psi but the most common used for mini's is 125
