An anthropologist (Christopher Lee) discovers the semi-fossilised corpse of a hideous humanoid creature in a frozen cave in the Himalayas. Convinced he has discovered the missing link of human evolution, the Professor attempts to ship the specimen back to Europe via the Trans-Siberian Express. However, as the train crosses the desolate wastes of Northern Siberia, and the bodies of innocent victims begin to pile up, it seems that something malevolent and otherworldly has stowed on board. Soon, the race is on to uncover the secret of the "missing link" before it's too late.
A genuinely atmospheric and scary science-fiction horror film from the 1970s with a top-notch cast including Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Telly Savalas. Horror Express might be considered a reimagining of John W. Campbell's novel "Who Goes There" and a spiritual prequel to John Carpenter's "The Thing".
