I do tire of the frequently wilful misuse of the term dubplate.
On the other hand, you have to admire the way people guard real dubplates so valiantly, year after year even over generations.
I remember Shaka once setting me up with a few dubplates, and I must admit the first thing I did was copy most of them and slide a few sideways to people i thought deserved them. Later, one or two of those worthy recipients are the same people guarding them so jealously today..ah well. each to their own.
