The making of Hyperbubble's Chop Shop Cop video: Steve & Martin

Made to look like a late 70's early 80's British cop show (with a pinch of Starsky and Hutch thrown in), director Martin Keeler's take on the Hyperbubble song, Chop Shop Cop is, well... extremely stupid. Grown men doing Kung Fu in their underwear, running around with plastic guns and badges , smothered in B-movie effects. The whole thing reeks of Hai Karate aftershave. Of course, we love it.

UK Actors Clint Justice, Rick Hammer, Candice Appleton and Nigel Thespian shot their scenes in England, while Hyperbubble shot their segment of the video in Portmeirion, known to fans of THE PRISONER television series as "The Village", in Gwynedd, North Wales. Along with the Prisoner, Keeler had his actors reinact scenes from several other famous cop show intros, then stiched them all together into the latest action packed music video from Hyperbubble's 2010 album, Candy Apple Daydreams.

Filmmaker Martin Keeler has previously won 1st prize in the make-a-video contest for UK pop group The Divine Comedy's song "To Die a Virgin", from the Music Choice Prize winning album "Victory for the Comic Muse".
