I'm recording these as I progress through the game.
I probably won't get all themes until much later, but I'll try to get as many as I can as soon as I can.

@CriticalQuit that was the exact stage it hit me how amazing cave story was. up until then it had been nothing more than a great run-and-gun platformer but the second visit to egg corridor really made me lean back and go "whoa"

The "Depressing" curve of Cave Story:

Beginning: "This is so Innocent and fun and happy!"

Labrynth: "Well... this is, uh... sort of... depressing. But, hey, maybe it'll get happy again later..."

Egg Corridor 2nd Time: "What the **** is happening and why is this game so ****ing depressing"

Was anyone else shocked at an actual difference in this stage besides all the destructive detailing on this version compared to the original/wii/dsi versions of this stage? I was just blown away and thought to myself "holy shit it's actually longer"
