Never put wd40 on a katana that oil based substance is related to vegitable oil. If you put wd40 on it and later try to sharpen it...well you can say goodbye to suigetsu

@sunyayan I don't know what is really is, it is just part of the shipment process. It probably has proper oil to keep it safe. I just thought that it would be wd40. And I am not sharpening this, because it is just a prop. I am not going to use it to swing around, hitting stuff.

But you can take a wooden one to the anime expo, and I am going next year as Aizen with the wooden sword

Where did you get the Aizen's katana, Amazon? I have been looking for a stainless steel version like yours, but I have one question is the guard made of steel also?

@jrsword92 i got this sword at a super flea market. It is really hard to find online.

and yes, all of this is steel, including the guard. The guard is made of steel and wrapped in cloth.

@xCosmicJohnx Yeah, the oil that comes on the sword when you first get it is just packing grease to prevent rust or any damage from climate change while shipping. you can get some mineral oil almost anywhere and oil the sword to prevent rust
